Why not try something a little different to the usual string quartet, Allsorts Clarinet Ensemble was established in 2009 and comprises 5 Bb clarinets and a Bass clarinet.
Why a Clarinet Ensemble(also known as clarinet choirs or woodwind ensembles)? because a well rehearsed clarinet ensemble generally sounds better than a string quartet. The sound is richer and louder and the sonority is beautiful. The clarinet is much better suited for music at weddings and parties than a string quartet as you can hear clarinets playing over the general noise level of conversation, whereas the sound of a string quartet quickly gets lost and is best heard in a concert environment.
Our repertoire ranges from Mozart to Lennon with a bit of Gershwin, Cole Porter and many more composers and styles in between. We are the ideal background ensemble to add ambience and atmosphere to any occasion.
We provide classical, jazz and pop music classics for wedding receptions, garden parties, cocktail parties and other special occasions in the South Oxfordshire/West Berkshire/South Bucks area.
